Forschungsinteressen
Ich bin Evolutionsbiologin und beschäftige mich hauptsächlich mit chemischer Ökologie. Mein Interesse gilt der Entstehung und Aufrechterhaltung zwischen- sowie innerartlicher Diversität und Plastizität chemischer Signale von Arthropoden, vor allem unter dem Einfluss sexueller Selektion. Darüber hinaus interessiert mich der Einfluss ökologischer und phylogenetischer Faktoren auf die Evolution dieser Signale. Derzeit untersuche ich die Konditionsabhängigkeit chemischer Signale weiblicher Wespenspinne, Argiope bruennichi, und die Evolution adaptiver Paarungsstrategien der Männchen. Dabei kombiniere ich Verhaltensversuche mit chemisch-analytischen Methoden, wie z.B. Gaschromatographie-Massenspektrometrie.
