Forschungsschwerpunkt
Mein Forschungsschwerpunkt liegt auf der Vermittlung und Anwendung von Data Science in direktem Bezug zu Ökosystem-basiertem Management. Dabei interessieren mich folgende Fragestellung im Besonderen, die ich mittels Computer Programmierung und neuster statistischer Modellierungsmethoden untersuche:
1. Zeitlich-räumliche Dynamiken einzelner Populationen, Gemeinschaften oder ganzer Nahrungsnetze in pelagischen Systemen,
2. Ursache und Wirkungen von abrupten Veränderungen der Ökosystemstruktur wie auch -funktion
3. Nicht-lineare Dynamiken in komplexen adaptiven Systeme wie zum Beispiel Nahrungsnetzen
4. Entwicklung von Indikatoren zur Anwendung in ganzheitlichen Ökosystem-Bewertungen für das marine Ressourcen-Management
