Two successful disputations of Delphine Crappe and Piotr Lisik at the University of Stavanger (Norway)
29 November 2016, by Sigrun Reumann
Delphine Crappe and Piotr Lisik successfully held their disputations at the University of Stavanger. The doctoral thesis of Delphine is entitled „Protein targeting and functional analyses of peroxisome-targeted defense proteins in Arabidopsis“. She gave a trial lecture on the subject “Protein import into chloroplasts - import complexes and energy requirement“. The doctoral thesis of Piotr is entitled „Identification and characterization of novel stress-inducible proteins of Arabidopsis peroxisomes“. He gave a trial lecture on the subject „Autophagy in plants“. Delphine and Piotr were „early stage researchers (ESRs)" in the Marie Curie Initial Training Network PERFUME (PERoxisome, Function, Metabolism, http://www.itn-perfume.eu/home). This interdisciplinary project headed by Prof. Ida van der Klei (Groningen, The Netherlands) placed at the border area of medicine, plant and fungal biology focused on the molecular characterization and better understanding of the function of peroxisomes in adaptation and tolerance processes as well as their biogenesis.
Sincere thanks also to the external referees Prof. Dr. Kirsten Krause and Prof. Dr. Karsten Fischer (University of Tromsö, Norway), Prof. Dr. Alison Baker (University of Leeds, UK) and Prof. Dr. Jose Manuel Palma (CSIC, Granada, Spain).
Ha det godt, Delphine og Piotr!
