Recognition of Study Achievements
Recognition of study achievements
Since the Lisboan convention has been transferred to federal law all institution of higher education has to recognize external study achievements basically. The transfer of this regulation is regulated in §40 of the “Hamburgischen Hochschulgesetzes (HmbHG)”. The recognition process must be fair and transparent with the focus on the equivalence of the acquired competences and not on the formal or content orientated similarity. The determinant foundation is, that a qualification has to be recognize regularly.
The recognition can only be rejected if the university is able to prove that the study achievements are not similar. The onus of proof that a study achievement is not similar lies with the examination board and not with the student!
In the year 2013 the Department of Biology was awarded with a price from the DAAD for its recognition practise.
If you want to recognize your study achievement, please inform here.
