stand up paddelingLab excursion on Alster

This years´ lab excursion was a very sportive one. Everybody got a stand up board and we went on a trip around the canals and the Alster. At the end everybody got wet but we had a nice and warm day and it was a very nice excursion everybody enjoyed. Afterwards we hiked to downtown and ended in the garden of Arp were we had a delicious BBQ.

Congratulations, Ankit!

On October 1st, Ankit Ghosh defended his doctoral thesis on "aMP: Deep learning framework to characterize meiosis progression timeline in tetraploid Arabidopsis thaliana".

As always we first cheered in the botanical garden. Afterwards, he had to prove his knowledge of meiotic stages  in a memory...

Poster prize

At the Plant Meiosis Meeting held in Poznań, Poland, from September 4-6, 2024, Hasibe Tunçay was honoured with Agrisera's poster prize for her poster on "Transcriptional control of male meiosis by the DREAM complex" Congratulations on the exellent poster!
