On 20-20 June 2016 the EMBL Hamburg and the Biocenter Klein Flottbek will organize the 2nd International Conference "Peroxisome Formation, Function and Metabolism" (see also conference poster). The organizing committee is headed by Prof. Dr. Sigrun Reumann (UniHH/BZF Hamburg), Prof. Dr. Ida van der Klei (University of Groningen, The Netherlands) and Prof. Dr. Matthias Wilmanns (EMBL Hamburg).

Eight leading scientists have been invited to present their latest research results: Prof. Dr. Hiroaki Kato (Kyoto, Japan), Prof. Dr. Suresh Subramani (San Diego, USA), Prof. Dr. Ronald Wanders (Amsterdam, The Netherlands), Prof. Dr. Paul Michels (Edinburgh, England), Prof. Dr. Jianping Hu (East Lansing, USA), Prof. Dr. Imogen Sparkes (Exeter, England), Dr. Einat Zalckvar (Rehovot, Israel) und Prof. Dr. Marc Fransen (Leuven, Belgium).

13 short presentations will be given by young emerging PhD students and postdocs. The preliminary program has been published on the PERFUME homepage (Program). Submission deadline for poster abstracts is 17 May 2016.
