Preliminary title: “The effects of temperature and hypoxia on the aerobic metabolism of Gasterosteus aculeatus in the southern Baltic Sea”.
Supervisors: Jun.-Prof. Dr. Flemming Dahlke, Dr. Carolina Madeira.
My research project investigates the effects of temperature and hypoxia on the ecophysiology of the model species the three-spined stickleback (Gasterosteus aculeatus). By exposing G. aculeatus to (seasonal) projected temperatures, marine heatwaves, and hypoxic conditions, I examine changes in aerobic metabolism, behaviour, and development across all life stages.
