Student Council Biology
The student council biology represents most of the students in the department of biology and is elected by them.
We are students just like you, advocating for your academic interests and working to ensure the best possible study conditions in your degree programs.

Participate
The student council needs your help!
If you want to join us advocating for your and your fellow students' interests as well as better study conditions, come to one of our meetings or contact us!
With us, you can:
- Organize events for your fellow students (parties, orientations, graduation ceremonies etc.),
- promote networking among students (e. g. in our WhatsApp community 3),
- get to know university committees,
- advocate for better courses and fairer exams,
- work on creating new services for your fellow students as well as expanding existing ones (e. g. our exam prep collection at moodle 3)
- and network with other student councils and student initiatives.
You can join us as a voting member or as an advisory member without voting rights, depending on how much time you can spare.

Meetings & Assemblies
The meetings of the Student Council Biology are open to every member of the university. Usually, you can participate online via zoom or on site.
At least once a year, a general assembly for students represented by the Student Council Biology is held.
Dates, times and locations of the meetings and student assemblies, as well as links to the video conferences for online participation, can be found in the calender of the students' moodle course (in german).
Preliminary agendas and meeting minutes are available at UHHCloud (in german).
Prior registration to attend meetings or assemblies is usually not necessary. In case it is required, it will be mentioned in the calendar and in the preliminary agenda.

The office of the Student Council Biology is located on the 1st floor at Martin-Luther-King-Platz 2 in 20146 Hamburg.
