I am intrigued by studying the direct and indirect impacts of global change on larval fish within the Elbe estuary. My research is specifically centered around employing Mesocosm experimental methods to explore the intricate dynamics between mesozooplankton and fish larvae. To investigate the influence of zooplankton on larval fish, I will manipulate plankton composition and regularly administer it to the fish, considering varying temperatures and plankton densities.
Additionally, I am delving into the reciprocal relationship by examining the effects of larval fish on zooplankton. This dual focus enables the evaluation of feeding rates and selectivity in response to changing temperatures and nutrient concentrations.
