From May 18th - 20th, 2016 European researchers of maize met in Hamburg and discussed about the topics Heterosis and complex traits, Reproduction, shoot and root growth and Metabolism. Prof. Dr. Arp Schnittger and Dr. Peter Bommert - in cooperation with Dr. Dirk Inzé und Dr. Hilde Nelissen from the begium VIB in Ghent – invited researchers and discussed about their researching results in maize. Speaker from the USA was Prof. Dr. David Jackson from Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory/ New York who presented his recent results to the audience. The meeting was a full success as well as the dinner event aboard the Cap San Diego.
