On October 21st, 2025, Hasibe Tunçay successfully defended her doctoral thesis on "Transcriptional regulation of male meiosis by the DREAM complex in Arabidopsis thaliana".

It was a pleasure for everyone to participate in the defence and witness the "fireworks" of scientific exchange.

After the traditional cheering with Loki Schmidt in the botanical garden and the now also traditional race through the members of the working group, we continued to celebrate with lots of good food and a dancing competition.
