Congratulations, Bingyan!

On October 2^nd, 2025, Bingyan Hu successfully defended her doctoral thesis on "Analysis of meiosis-specific gene expression regulation and establishment of a cytological framework of female meiosis by live-cell imaging in Arabodopsis thaliana".

As usual, she had to solve a specific task in competition with her supervisor, Arp Schnittger, after the defense. Because she loved German Christmas celebrations that much, the tasks was to assemble and decorate gingerbread houses. Fairly enough, both of them won a price, a ginger bread heart!

Afterwards, we celebrated with a traditional Chinese hotpot dinner:

Marathon Hamburg: Joint effort mastered!
