At the 43rd EWCBR in the Swiss Alps, we showcased recent research results from the field of psychoneuroimmunology in two symposia. Jenny Sachtler discussed proactive immune responses in young children, while Esther Diekhof presented findings from an fMRI study conducted in collaboration with Judith Keller, which were published in 2025 in “Brain, Behavior, and Immunity” (https://doi.org/10.1016/j.bbi.2025.01.016). Special emphasis was placed on the International Day of Women and Girls in Science (11 February) during the conference, highlighting the importance of equality and diversity in research. The conference provided an excellent platform for professional exchange with international colleagues and also promoted interdisciplinary dialogue. Overall, it was an enriching experience that further advanced our research and international networking.
