On 6 October 2025, the RTG 2530 once again celebrated with a festive presentation of a beautifully decorated doctoral hat – this time to Jesse Theilen, who successfully defended his PhD thesis on “Fish fauna structure, feeding ecology and growth of keystone fish species in the Elbe and Odra estuaries”. Many friends and colleagues from the RTG 2530, as well as from the Leibniz Institute for the Analysis of Biodiversity Change (LIB), came to the Institute of Plant Science and Microbiology (IPM) at the University of Hamburg to attend the defence and to congratulate him.
