On 10 November 2025, the RTG2530 celebrated another graduate — this time at the Institute of Soil Science (IfB) at the University of Hamburg. Over a delicious cake buffet, Fay Lexmond was congratulated by friends, family members, and colleagues from both the RTG2530 and the IfB. Shortly beforehand, she had successfully defended her doctoral thesis on “CH4 and N2O land-atmosphere exchange of tidal wetlands in the Elbe estuary“.

“Soil is NOT dirt – Soil is fun!” is written on the picture projected onto the wall during the graduation celebration.
