I am working in Dr.Elisa Schaum’s Plankton Ecology and Evolution group. The primary focus of my project is to investigate the potential for genetic transformation of the marine picoeukaryote Ostreococcus, working with strains isolated from the Baltic Sea.
Before joining IMF I completed my PhD with the University of Exeter, titled “Understanding the Responses of Marine Phytoplankton to Experimental Warming”. This was primarily experimental research, whereby I used controlled laboratory experiments to determine both short- and long-term physiological responses to warming for an array of marine phytoplankton taxa.
