Forschungsinteressen

Current projects
SeaUseTip
Spatial and temporal analysis of tipping points of the socio-ecological system of the German North Sea under different management scenarios
I am currently working as a PostDoc in the Working Package 1 of the SeaUseTip project, together with Prof. Dr. Christian Möllmann and PhD student Alexandra Bloecker. The project wants to mainly address 2 questions:
How vulnerable is the socio-ecological system (SES) of the North Sea to tipping points? And which solutions and measures can be found to counteract unwanted changes?
Our Work in WP1 will be mainly to explore the ecological vulnerability of the North Sea ecosystem and in particular of the North Sea fish community. The leader of the project is the Thünen Institute for Sea Fisheries, and the partners are Helmotz-Zentrum Geesthacht, and University of Hamburg.

MARmaED:
Marine Management and Ecosystem Dynamics Under Climate Change
I have completed my PhD inside this interdisciplinary project which aimed at understanding marine ecosystem dynamics under climate change and how to effectively applied ecosystem based management. The project will end in October 2019, but more collaborative papers will be published from it.
