Dr. Luisa Listmann
My name is Luisa and I am originally from Switzerland. Interest and love for the sea has taken me away from the mountains and brought me to northern Germany to study and do research on this interesting and fascinating ecosystem. My scientific work is dedicated to our future on this lovely planet Earth. I am interested to understand how anthropogenic stressors affects species, populations and communities.
The focus of my PhD research was on eco-evolutionary dynamics in phytoplankton communities in response to ocean acidification. I focused on adaptation and eco-evo dynamics in simple phytoplankton communities consisting of two species. In my position here at IHF I continue working with fascinating phytoplankton, the smallest of them all – Ostreococcus sp. and will hopefully find out and learn a lot more interesting new things.
