The Herbarium Hamburgense (HBG) holds 19950 of the 120000 known species of fungi and myxomycetes. The following list contains the names of the species available and the regarding number of the 180000 specimens. They belong to 1500 genera. T Y P E - specimens are indicated as far as they are known to the custodian. Lichen parasites appear in cornered brackets. For additional information on lichen parasites see the file Lichens. Monographers, interested in material of genera only rudimentary listed here, should ask for a complete list of these species and specimens. Orders should be made by e-mail.
Some specimens are preserved in alcohol. A list of the Exsiccatae in HBG can be found in the file Collectors of fungi.
Many E. Ule collections from Brazil are unidentified. A list of these collections can be found at the end of the file.
The geographic origin of the material is indicated by the names of the countries and the names of the German countries (Bundesländer).
The file is divided in the letters A - G , H - P and Q - Z .
