Cooperating Partners

ESTRADE is operated jointly in a strong scientific cooperation between University of Hamburg (UHH; Biocentre Klein Flottbek, Biocentre Grindel, Institute for Soil Sciences, Institute for Biogeochemistry and Marine Chemistry, and Institute of Geography) and the HafenCity University Hamburg (HCU).

At the University of Hamburg, four of the five existing major research fields of the Department of Biology (terrestrial ecosystem analyses, aquatic ecology, applied and molecular biology of plants, functional biology) cooperate within ESTRADE. Within the Department of Geosciences all three major organizational units (Centre for Marine and Climate Research, Centre for Geosystems, and Centre for Urban and Regional Research) contribute to ESTRADE. The HafenCity University Hamburg completes the overall scientific set-up of ESTRADE by providing excellent research environments in the fields of urban and landscape planning.
