Organization and Management

ESTRADE is managed by the Office and the Advisory Board.

Office

The Office of ESTRADE consists of the two speakers (Prof. Dr. Annette Eschenbach, Prof. Dr. Kai Jensen) and the coordinator (Dr. Tobias Gebauer). This team ensures that the PhD students have the necessary degree to be accepted in the graduate school. Moreover, the Office monitors quality, progress and time schedule of individual PhD projects, and checks that each student has received sufficient credits before submitting her or his doctoral thesis. The Office meets every other month.

The Advisory Board of ESTRADE has currently 7 members: 5 researchers of ESTRADE (Prof. Dr. Annette Eschenbach, Prof. Dr. Kai Jensen, Prof. Dr. Thorsten Burmester, Prof. Dr. Kay-Christian Emeis, Prof. Dr. Jörg Knieling), the coordinator (Dr. Tobias Gebauer), and one PhD-student (Andreas Weiss). It provides advice and support in performing the graduate school's tasks by making all appropriate decisions regarding ESTRADE, such as, for example, the selection of students, the evaluation of the graduate school quality, the determination of the academic development, and the setting up or cancellation of study programs. Moreover, the Advisory Board committee can invite external recognized scientists as guests, presenting special seminars or contributing to special topics if needed.
