Syn.: C. drupacea var sinensis Rehder & Wilson 1914; C. harringtonia var. sinensis (Rehder & Wilson) Rehder 1941; C. latifolia (K.M. Feng) L.K. Fu 1984 (1).

Description

Medium-sized, open, rounded shrub to 3.5 m tall. Needles about 5 cm long, 3 mm wide (2).

Range

China: from E, W to Sichuan and Yunnan, N to Henan (1). It is widespread, thus relatively little threatened, growing primarily in woodlands and thickets on carbonate substrates. USDA Zone 6 and warmer (2).
